Laura Conner Kestner spent 25 years in community journalism before deciding to pursue a career in fiction. She’s a Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, seventh-generation Texan, and a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Laura’s won several writing awards, including a 2016 ACFW Genesis Award, the 2017 Daphne du Maurier award for excellence in mystery/suspense, and the 2016 RWA SARA Emma Merritt award for inspirational romance. She was a 2017 RWA GOLDEN HEART® finalist, and a double GOLDEN HEART® finalist in 2018 (all pre-published).
She was also a 2019 HOLT Medallion finalist, and a 2019 Will Rogers Medallion Award finalist (for Remember Texas) and 2020 WRMA finalist (for A Texas Promise).
Laura is thrilled to announce that her third book, A Texas Moon, received the Gold Medallion in the inspirational category of the 2021 Will Rogers Medallion Award Contest for excellence in Western literature and media.
